Ronnen IsakovRonnen Isakov received the 2009 Ambassador Milton A. and Roslyn Z. Wolf Young Campaigner of the Year Award from the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland at the Opening Event of the 2010 Campaign for Jewish Needs, Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple, 23737 Fairmount Boulevard, Beachwood.  The event also featured sports media consultant Lisa Levine and “the Jewish Jordan,” Tamir Goodman.

The Wolf Award honors a volunteer, age 40 or younger, who demonstrates exceptional leadership in the Federation’s annual Campaign, and encourages them to remain committed to this vital community.

“He has a modest approach to his leadership roles that attracts people,” Board Chair Harley I. Gross said.  “His colleagues, peers and Federation staff are motivated and inspired by the passion he instills within them.  He responds to challenges as opportunities and develops a wide array of relationships that further engage our young adults in the community.”

As a volunteer with the Federation’s Young Leadership Division (YLD), Isakov participated in the Leadership Education and Development Series (LEADS), co-chaired the YLD Division’s annual Campaign for Jewish Needs, was chair of the division in 2008, and serves on the National Young Leadership Cabinet.  He is a graduate of the Mandel Leadership Symposium and served on the Planning Committee for the Mandel Symposium.  He and his wife, Lara, also were co-chairs of this year’s Super Sunday dialathon event in support of the Campaign for Jewish Needs.

Upon accepting the award Isakov said, “The Federation helps our community prosper by providing basic needs and hundreds of services to so many.  Through our directly-supported agencies, we are able to provide people of all ages and ethnicity financial, emotional and community programs adding more dignity to their daily lives.”

As the award recipient, Isakov receives an all-expense-paid trip on a Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland or The United Federations of America mission to Israel, and a hand-calligraphied citation.  Isakov is the director of SS&G Financial Healthcare Services.  He and Lara reside in Beachwood with their two children.

Amb. Milton A. Wolf and his wife Roslyn Z. Wolf, both of blessed memory, understood the vital importance of the Federation’s Campaign to the stability of the Jewish community at home and around the world.  The inaugural Wolf Award was presented in 2003, one year before the Ambassador passed away.  The award was created by Amb. Wolf and his children to honor the memory of Roslyn.
