Molly Fried, 2009-10 Roslyn Z. Wolf Cleveland-JDC International Fellow, Continues Work with JDC in Berlin, Germany

CLEVELAND (October 8, 2010) – Molly Fried recently concluded her tenure in Berlin, Germany as the Roslyn Z. Wolf Cleveland-JDC International Fellow.  Molly is the sixth Fellow selected for the program.  In her Fellowship year, Molly assisted with JDC programs aimed at connecting Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union to Jewish life in Germany, developing an online newsletter, and supporting the JDC Activities Center and the Bambinim early childhood education program in Berlin.  Continuing for another year with the JDC, Molly will return to Berlin and continue her work with the Bambinim program.

Molly was raised in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from George Washington University where she majored in Religion with a focus on Judaism.  Molly has a strong background in both formal and informal Jewish education and worked extensively on interfaith relations on campus.  Before she began her Fellowship, Molly concluded her internship at the Interfaith Youth Core in Chicago, where she developed her leadership skills working on project management, interfaith exchange programs, and media relations.

Wolf Cleveland-JDC International Fellowship, established by the Wolf Family in collaboration with Jewish Federation of Cleveland and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in 2003, provides an unparalleled opportunity for an individual to spend one year abroad, making a significant difference in the lives of members of an overseas community.
