We had another successful Brunch & Bloom, the annual clean-up event at the Hebrew Cultural Garden. Despite the slight drizzle and looming thunderstorm yesterday morning, volunteers showed up with their 2010 brunch and bloomgardening equipment ready to work. This event always provides a nice opportunity for an inter-generational experience. The volunteers enjoyed the event and the garden looks beautiful. Dr. Rob and Nancy Zimmerman co-chaired the event. Nancy welcomed everyone, gave a brief overview of what Federation does and then led Hatikvah. Rabbi Sruly Koval lent some spirituality to the day after driving through the night from New York just to be at the event.

The Hebrew Cultural Garden (1160 East Blvd.) is one of a chain of 25 cultural gardens serving as a unique memorial to peace and the richness of a pluralistic society.  The cultural gardens are part of the Cleveland Cultural Garden Federation.

In addition to Brunch & Bloom, JVN organizes volunteer group outings to the garden through the spring, summer and fall.
