This summer, help show that the Jewish community cares about Cleveland’s children by volunteering with the Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Network (JVN).  JVN will again be partnering with the Children’s Hunger Alliance to serve free, nutritious lunches to children in the City of Cleveland from June 14 – August 6.  The children rely on free or reduced-fee breakfasts and lunches throughout the school year, and in the summer they greatly depend on this program.  Last year, the program served approximately 20,000 meals in 6 weeks.

Lunches are served Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at various Cleveland Public Library sites.  Volunteers may commit to the dates of their choice.  In addition to serving meals, opportunities will be available to play games, do puzzles and read with the children.

Volunteers must be 18 years old unless accompanied by an adult.  Training is required and provided.

Training dates:

  • Tuesday, June 8, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
